As I noted in last month's newsletter, there are some BIG changes coming to all Medicare beneficiaries in 2025.
The GOOD NEWS is that if you have Medicare prescription drug coverage in your plan the True Out of Pocket [TROOP] limit will be $2,000 in 2025! Simply put…you will not have to pay any more than $2,000 in 2025 for your meds. In addition, the dreaded “Donut Hole” will be eliminated completely beginning Jan. 1, 2025.
But there's a tradeoff. Insurance carriers who offer Medicare Rx plan coverage will be absorbing additional costs, but will likely pass some of these costs onto you via higher deductibles, copays, coinsurance and premiums. If this happens…and I believe it will…you will be notified by your insurance carrier via a communication called the Annual Notice of Change - YOU
